In an ideal world, interdependency is the key to smoothen all the processes involved in the conceptualization and production of a design output; but as we graphic designers attempt to establish an interdependent relationship with our client, we face challenges in the communication process that hinder successful negotiation.

 

There are walls to communication that disconnect us and our client, eliminating or limiting opportunities for interdependency. These are digital communication conditions, fixed mindset and corporate presets, expectations on time, cost and quality, and politics of hierarchy and preference.
