Part of reconciling differences with the clients is educating them. Clients approach the designers because they need their help. It is the graphic designers’ job to make the clients know what they do not know especially in terms of design. Perhaps educating the client is a professional responsibility and an opportunity for the designer to prove his/her credibility through the mastery of his/her craft.
When the client is convinced by expert advice, it sets him/her on the same page with the designer and allows for the mutual understanding of the design.
One way to educate the client is by giving suggestions or providing options or design studies. This is a common practice of graphic designers because it gives the client a variety of designs to choose from. Usually, graphic designers make two studies; one with their own personal preference, and one with what the client particularly wants.
