Visual aesthetics and sense of style are subjective. In every design product, we are aware that it can be understood differently by our clients. The multiple revisions requested by our clients are understandable and normal. It becomes an issue however when they impose or coerce their views into the design, which we find totally unacceptable.
“Injecting personal art” in a design project is a strategy for graphic designers who want to establish a signature look on their design for personal satisfaction and branding. Injecting personal art may be as subtle as a small curve or hints of one’s favorite color in a design product. The tactic works when the designer could hardly compromise, yet is obliged to follow a sensible request of a client.
